Social interactions shape individual behavioural variation.

Dr. Francesca Santostefano received her Master Degree in Evolutionary Biology at the University of Padova, Italy, in 2011. In 2016, she obtained a joint PhD between the Max Planck Institute for Ornithology and the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich, Germany. Her PhD thesis focused on the consequences of social interactions on the evolution of individual differences in behaviours, using field crickets. She then received a two-years DFG post-doctoral fellowship for her current project on social selection in eastern chipmunks, and is based at UQAM.
