The importance of movement ecology to biodiversity research at the inter- and intra-specific levels.

Dr. Melanie Dammhahn is a behavioural and animal ecologist with research interests at the interface between ecology, behaviour and evolution. Primarily, she is interested in drivers and limits of within-species variation in behaviour, life-history and ecophysiology and their consequences for ecological interactions within and between species. She combines detailed long-term studies of individuals, populations and communities in the field with experimental manipulations under natural, semi-natural, and laboratory conditions, laboratory analyses and ecological modelling.
